One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

I don't think he would've gotten down so easily if he hadn't been touched. I thought the rule was more targeted for a play where it is CLEARLY going to be caught in bounds. That one wasn't clear IMO.Originally posted by RastakI was a good call but it's a stupid rule....Originally posted by The Leaperthese refs SUCKMy signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

And here comes the "duck and dodge"... Hear the sound of the toilet flushing? That's your argument going down the drain...Originally posted by The ShadowDevine was successful in Green Bay?Originally posted by retailguyThen, I suppose that Pete Carroll sucks too. Whatever, dude. And you say Packnut refuses to admit when he's wrong? Look in the mirror. The guy with the problem is staring back at you. Take a good look.Originally posted by The ShadowIf you can make it in the pro's, your dog lives to old age.Originally posted by retailguy53-16. 3 bowl games. Yeah. He sucked. Give it up. Shadow is right. That guy can just feel it.Originally posted by Harlan HucklebyInterestingly enough, Devine had been a leading candidate for the head coaching job at Notre Dame in 1964 when Ara Parseghian was hired. When he was approached for the job when Parseghian resigned, Devine accepted immediately, joking that it was probably the shortest job interview in history. Over the next six years, despite facing much of the same pressure at Notre Dame that he had endured in Green Bay, Devine compiled a 53-16-1 mark. His most lasting achievement came midway through this run, when the Fighting Irish won the 1977 national championship with a squad led by future Hall of Famer Joe Montana. Before that season's annual game against the University of Southern California on October 22, Devine changed the team's uniforms to bright green and gold, a status that would remain for the rest of his time at the school. He also added names to the players' jerseys on a permanent basis when he took over at Notre Dame. Prior to that, names had been included on jerseys only during bowl games. His teams won three bowl games, most notably the 1979 Cotton Bowl in which the Irish, trailing 34-12 with 7:27 remaining in the game, rallied behind quarterback Joe Montana for an incredible 35-34 victory.
Sheesh.
I stand corrected. I thought he was practically run out of town.
give it up.
You know damn well what we were talking about.

Mental error. No reason to try heroics now.Originally posted by Harlan Hucklebyactually there was a receiver streaking by. It was a physical error.Originally posted by RastakTerrible pass.....One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. No, they called it on the Vikings against the Cards to get the Packers in the playoffs and he wasn;t gonna come down in bounds. Hmm, i have noticed more of a pattern with you.Originally posted by RastakI'm noticing a pattern...all calls against the Packers are bullshit calls....{ilr]3]Wow, Hope MM tears into Favre for that one.
That Force out looks like bullshit
I think his momentum would have carried him out.
I just replayed that several times. The call should have been out of bounds by the ref since him calling that was non-reviewable. I dont know if its reviewable the other way. By it was a bad call
maybe you should go back to a vikings forum and whine some more about how the Packers stole that laswt game from you....

what the f 3 runs? WE ARE A PASSING TEAM!!!!!Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.
