He is a rb from St Norbert who now is the phy. ed teacher whom the Packers are seriously eyeing to kickstart their fleggling runing game. Word is he runs a 4.38/40 and weighs 230. I heard this from a friend of a friend in GB.Pass Jessica's Law and keep the predators behind bars for 25 years minimum. Vote out liberal, SP judges. Enforce all immigrant laws!

I wonder what the NFL Draft Countdown mock at this point of last season looked like.
The internet wayback machine gives the 2006 NFL Draft Countdown mock draft predicting the following results at this point in the season:
1) Leinart to Miami
2) Bush to San Francisco
3) D'Brickishaw Ferguson to Tennesee
4) DeAngelo Williams to Cleveland
5) Mathias Kiwanuka to Denver (from Washington)
6) Marcus McNeil to Tampa
7) Chad Greenway to Chicago
8) Rodrique Wright to Giants
9) Eric Winston to Houston
10) Ahmad Brooks to Oakland
11) Haloti Ngata to Arizona
12) A.J. Hawk to New Orleans
13) Jimmy Williams to St. Louis
14) Mario Williams to Detroit
15) Jonathan Scott to Buffalo
16) Gabe Watson to Green Bay
17) Marcedes Willis to Cincinnati
18) Charles Gordon to Jacksonville
19) Laurence Maroney to Seattle
20) Justin Blalock to Dallas
21) Chad Jackson to Kansas City
22) Jesse Mahelona to Jets
23) Santonio Holmes to Chargers
24) Devin Hester to Baltimore
25) Leonard Pope to Carolina
26) Davin Joseph to Denver
27) Laron Landry to Atlanta
28) Max Jean-Gilles to Pittsburgh
29) Thomas Howard to Vikings (who lose the NFC championship, apparently.)
30) Ernie Sims to Colts
31) D'Qwell Jackson to Philadelpha
32) Jason Allen to New England.
This is an alarming success rate. Only the Titans and Colts picked where predicted and only Bush was picked where predicted. You can read the 2005 wit and wisdom of Scott Wright Here.
Other 2005 Scott Wright mocks: August 2, 2005, August 17, 2005, September 2, 2005, September 6, 2005, September 9, 2005, September 17, 2005, November 5, 2005, November 23, 2005, December 14, 2005, and December 25, 2005.</delurk>

A pass rush specialist to replace KGB
A CB to groom to replace Harris/Woodson
A playmaking TE
A playmaking RB
A stud OG or OT
An all aroung LB to replace Poppinga
I'll be happy with the best player available with most picks unless it's a DT. We have enough DT's. Other than that, we could use top tier players at any position, including WR or QB. If there is a QB that you love, there is nothing wrong with bringing in some competition for A Rod. Even though Driver, Jenning and Jones are pretty good, we could always use a Javon Walker. I'm a big fan of BPA. If we're lucky, it will fill a need like AJ Hawk.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

If there was a stud DT, and that was the best player it would suck. Harrell, Williams and Jolly are all young, long term players for this team. Pickett is on his way out in two years. Cole is just so/so. Muir hasn't shown much other than being better than the 53rd best player.
I wouldn't jump off any cliffs if we drafted a DT, but he'd have to be the best by a long shot. Even if you have 4 good WR's, you don't pass up on Randy Moss for Vonnie Holliday. You shouldn't pass up on Shawn Rodgers for Ahmad Carroll either. Point is, if there is a stud there and we have to let Cole and Muir go, I guess it's not the end of the world. I just hope it doesn't come to that. I hope the best player is at a position other than DT because this place will erupt if it went down that way.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

I'm hoping for a CB or a pass rush specialist with the #1 pick. I'd be OK with an Olineman, a RB, a TE, a LB or even a WR. After that, it wouldn't be the best situation, but it's usually best to get a playmaker at a position you don't need than just a so/so player at a position of need.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

I've followed Slaton his whole college career cuz he plays for WVU..I may be a little bit on the bandwagon...but Slaton is a straight up stud. He's in the running for the Heisman and has carried WVU (along with QB Pat White) on his shoulders. This kid would be a great asset to the Pack.

If this team gets close this year and Favre announces he's coming back early in the offseason, I could see Thompson being much bolder in free agency in the offseason. Both from the perspective that it's easier to sign guys when you can convince them that they're the missing cog that you need to win a championship, and also because it's less damaging to "mortgage your future" when doing so means you go from a division champion to superbowl champion instead of from 4-12 to 8-8. Most fans would rather see you win 12 regular season games and the superbowl one year and then 6 games the next than see you go 9-7 in back to back years.Originally posted by falcoi expect thompson to dabble a little more in FA this year, especially if favre is coming back and he thinks we can make a run for the big game.
Then again, this'll probably come down to "who's out there." Are there any notables in the UFA crop this offseason?</delurk>
