Difference in opinion this week. CBS Sports has Packers at #3 (wow!), Fox Sports has them at #8 and ESPN in the middle at #5.

    3 (CBS)
They come off their bye week with an eye on getting that running game going. They can't be one dimensional and get to a Super Bowl.

    8 (FOX)
At 5-1, the Packers are currently alone atop the NFC North standings. Trips to Denver and Kansas City — hostile environments to say the least — are up ahead for Favre and the boys in green. The running game may be non-existent, but it hasn't hurt the Packers yet. As for Favre, he may very well be the conference's MVP seven weeks into the season.

    5 (ESPN)
Not only are the Packers last in the league with 394 yards rushing, but that total is less than the league's top 19 individual rushers. No wonder Brett Favre said, 'We're hanging on by a thread.'

i dont understand how some of these powerranking morons can have the giants above the Pack. The Pack has 1 loss and gave the giants 1 of their 2 losses.

Thats why I laugh when I read this crap.

Don't you get it. The Giants are unstoppable now, after all, they've been whooping up on the creampuffs.

I still think we're a better team then them but their defense is playing really well right now. I'm just glad we already handed them a L.
      Go PACK

The national/NY media is a double-edged sword with respect to the Giants. If they are doing well, they get covered. If they are slipping or doing poorly, they really get covered. I don't know if there is a bias because there is so much media in the NY market by comparison, but I think they desire to cover them and find story lines.
