Not sure I'd do that Bull; it's a no win. She still owes me from last December
LOL but that wasn't money! :P
Anyway, wasn't one of your losing bets to buy all my drinks the Sat. night before the posters game? That would mean you still owe me yet too!!
AH phooey; what you owe is easier to get that money. You don't have to worry about getting your drinks; if things would have worked out this year I'd have happily bought you shots all night
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
that's fine Nick but I would like to know what your thoughts are????
You honestly think he'll do that? After the way he and Scott went after woody and Merlin, he'll NEVER EVER post an original thought again. 'Course I'm not sure he ever did that anyhow... Nevermind.
If the Vikings had Testeverde, they might be a wildcard team.
Well who would he throw it to?
Their wideouts aren't world beaters.
No, they aren't world beaters but once again they had a guy behind the last defender and can't get him the ball. The Vikings are much better at wide reciever this year than they were last year. I definately wouldn't call it a position of strength but it isn't their main problem.

Damn, you never give up. It's really hard for you to jsut enjoy the winning, isn't it?
yes and the Pack haven't won here for at least a 100 years. it will take a perfect game to win on that thursday. it can be done but i wouldn't go around trash talking and/or making bets on it. there's only one thing i'd like better than beating them in 10 days and that's beating them in the playoffs. let's think positive but be quiet about it. let's not irk the football gods.
I posted this a little earlier this week before the Panther game regarding this week being a historical trap game for the franchise:
>>I just read in USA Today's Sports Weekly that the last two times the Packers were 8-1 through week 10 in both 2002 and 1996, they lost in weeks 11 and 12. So, I went to trusty Pro-Football-Reference.com and sure enough, here it is...
2002 (8-1, having lost only at New Orleans in Week 2)
11 | at Minnesota Vikings | L | 21-31 |
12 | at Tampa Bay Buccaneers | L | 7-21 |
1996 (8-1, having only lost at Minnesota in Week 4)
11 | at Kansas City Chiefs | L | 20-27 |
12 | at Dallas Cowboys | L | 6-21 |
Going back even further...the last time the Packers were 8-1 was 1963, and they lost at Chicago in Week 10, but remember it was a 14 Week Season and no bye week.
The last time they went undefeated going into Week 11 was the 1962 Season when they started 10-0, and finally lost at Detroit in Week 11 (Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1962).
So, you thought this was just another week on the schedule? A win to go to 9-1 this week and the Packers have the best start in team history since 1962. If they can beat Carolina this week and win at Detroit on Thanksgiving, they can tie the 1962 team's 10-1 start, and avenge the Thanksgiving loss to Detroit in 1962 in the process! Go Pack Go!<<
Well, they broke the 8-1 barrier that two previous Packer teams could not. This is the Packers best start to a season since 1962. It's not time to celebrate anything, but damn, who'da thunk going into the season that we'd be talking about this team and the 1962 team in the same breath? Even the two Packer Super Bowl teams in the 60's, or the two in the 90's didn't get off to this good of a start. I'm not saying this team is as good as those teams, but they're fun this year.
If we can pull a NYG on Detroit on Thanksgiving, we can match the exact record of the 1962 team, and will have beaten Detroit on the road, unlike the '62 Packers!

This might sound unLombardi-like, but I didn't care that much whether they won today. I figured if they had their screw-up game today, no big deal. They can still earn homefield by winning the next two.
I think the most important thing for this game is no major injuries.
