That's exactly right. Owens gave us a couple of gifts. That game looks quite a bit different if we lose by 17, doesn't it.

Very disapointing. We have to get off the field on 3rd down. 3rd and 8, 3rd and 19 and we can't defend the pass. Those situations are where KGB and Woodson are very valuable.
Agreed but that 3rd and 19 was terrible D. All the penalties were mind boggling.

Because getting Jolly, Woodson, KGB back, and Tauscher getting healthy, could make a big difference. The Packers didn't do much right tonight, and still had a chance to get back into it. The Packers showed tonight that they are more than tough enough, and in the playoffs, that can count for a lot.

        • Replacing College with Juice helped a lot with the rush. Also, keeping one more man in helped.

Having all d-linemen back will help - though I do think we will need to blitz more.

I don't know why we weren't throwing the short stuff at the beginning of the game - Favre was holding it way too long, which was contributing to his hits.

And Bulldog - with all the crap that happened - losing the turnover battle, a poor gameplan, injuries, and a starting QB playing like crap - we still had a chance in the end to tie it up.

That's why we are excited by playing them again.

          • 3rd and 19 was the most crucial turning point of the game. You have a chance to get the ball at mid-field, down by 3. What do they do? Give up the long pass.

Not one player in the secondary played a decent game tonight. Harris played his worst game in recent memory, Bigby is just flat out stupid, and Tramon and Bush couldn't fill Woodson's shoes.

We had the chances in this game, but we didn't capitalize.

So how did we only lose by 10 then...with all of our turnovers and penalties?

              • Just like the detroit game, the leading team could do whatever they needed to on offense when they needed to do it. One more thing, Owens gave us some big drops along with that gift to Harris in the endzone. A cowboys fan could probably say that they should have won by 14-17 points.

                • Lastly, I'm not being negative but the Cowboys are better due to their impressive OL and great DL. The 2 Dallas TEs were killing the Pack too.

Dallas looked much better. We couldn't stop them on 3rd down to save our lives.

I'm not a fan of Bigby.

                          At all.

I was thinking about your reactions and how you liked Reggie Nelson so much; wonder how his rookie season is ?

KGB also steps up at this time of the game. I know it's making excuses, but I really believe those guys were a big part of the strength of this team. I think we can beat Dallas if our guys were healthy.

                            • Bulldog -

You could say Favre gift-wrapped some interceptions - or the referees gift wrapped some first downs with questions calls.

Players are going to make bad plays - if Favre doesn't throw two picks - or the refs either call the takeaway from Harris or don't call the interference in the end - are we within 3 or go ahead? Who knows, but one could say it should have been more and using the same logic, someone could say it should have been less.

He's been a very solid starter in JAX. They love him down there.
