Packers announce off-season practices

The Green Bay Packers have announced that they will scatter six practices over two mini-camps and will hold 14 days of organized team activities this year. The practice dates are as follows:

Mini-camps
First mini-camp
May 5-7

Second mini-camp
May 19-21

Organized team activities
May 31-June 2
June 5-6
June 8-9
June 12-13
June 15-16
June 19-21

The first Mini-camp was closed to the public. Anyone know if that will be the case for the second Mini-Camp or theOrganized Team Activities?

By the way, what's the difference between Mini-camp and Organized Team Activities? Are the Minicamps unorganized team activities? Do these organized team activities have anything to with football? Or are they things like Crochet Classes, bingo tournaments, and beer-making classes?

Teams are allowed a certain amount of days per off-season for manditory team activities. They are usually split into 2 separate weeks and called mini-camps.

OTA's are set up by the organization and because of the CBA are not allowed to be manditory. Players do not have to attend.

If they do not attend mini-camps they get fined. OTA's missed will just bring the rath of the organization.

Are these dates different from training camp? I went to two training camp practices last year and they were in the beginning of August, any news on these? Or are they the same thing, just happening much earlier this year?

These are not part of training camp, which starts in late July.
