I don't get it, how bad is the injury???

HE COULD SIT OUT for 5-6 weeks and come back for the first playoff game when the packers would really need him...

I'm guessing they weighed all options. If there was need for surgery, better to get him going on rehab as soon as possible.

Bad for Packers; bad for Jolly - are Harrell and Muir ready to fill the void? I think so. I'm more worried about healthy QBs, Woodson and KGB.

the weird thing is.. in Mccarthys press conference he never mentioned him going to the IR.. just said that its possible but they were still going over all the options.. now this report comes outta no where?

No official word yet on him being placed on IR.

If he can heal up before the playoffs, I would expect that they don't IR him yet.
All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

One report said it is a possible rotator tear, and could require surgery. They might be lucky to get him back in time for the 2008 season.

My point is at least we have him to plug in given Jolley's injury. Harrel has more upside than any other Dtackle in this draft. Hopefully he seizes this opportunity

Frankly, the guy HAS to be pissed at the boos he got when his name was called.

I bet he does nothing for us, then goes onto a pro bowl career and turns around as says "In your Face".

I know that's EXACTLY what I'd do. But I am a childish, petulant, immature wanna-be.

I hope Harrell has more character than I do!

                        Is Gravy Jackson still available?

I think he is. Atlanta cut him. It wasn't that he wasn't effective - only that he couldn't get on and off the field fast enough. Every time they tried to bring him in or out, they were getting 12 men on the filed penalties. He's currently starring in several eating contest reality shows in Europe.

Grady Jackson was signed by Jacksonville in October/early November as I recall. It was discussed on here about signing him then. I think he is still with them.
