    hahaha, deal

I'd say Paris Lennon could help. I think he'd be a better use of a roster spot than Craig Nall.
The Packers are extremely thin at LB. Lennon would be a good addition.
If he could learn how to fall on ball when it's a fumble.....

One of the more interesting aspects of the thread is that the scouting staff is essentially unchanged.

The information is the same but the decisions are better.

Decisions are better...and there are more chances to make decisions. I'm not sure Thompson hits on his picks significantly more than Sherman did...I believe he does to a slight extent, but not overly so. The issue with Sherman was that he threw away picks foolishly trying to land certain guys...which isn't smart when the draft is mostly a crap shoot.

Longwell used to miss easy FG's and blame the holder. He would hit one at the end of the game to win it and everybody thought he was clutch.

Ryan Longwell is the biggest fraud since Kevin Butler. He was the same way with the Bears.

Longwell might have been 0-for-3 on Sunday. He certainly would have missed the 52 yarder Crosby missed.

Kevin Barry would be nice to have on the bench. Grey Ruegamer could play both guard and center. Najeh Davenport would be a good addition considering Grant is the only RB that can stay healthy. Then again, Najeh couldn't stay healthy either.

Honestly, I wouldn't take anyone from the 2004 roster that's not on the team today. Wahle isn't setting the world on fire and Sharper was always overrated. He's afraid of contact. Packers DB's can't be afraid of contact with the scheme they play.

Re: Look back at 2004 roster

A few names on there that I think could help us...

Guard play has been better with Colledge on the bench, but I certainly think Barry or Ruegamer could help. No depth there at all, and I'm not so sure one of those guys wouldn't be better than who we have starting now. I seem to remember the Barry experiment at guard failed, so maybe Ruegamer would be a better choice.

I would like to have Davenport - Grant is carrying the load, but I sure am happy he hasn't been starting all season...he's not a rookie, but I think he might run out of gas playing his first full season. And he's been pretty good in Pitt.

As others have mentioned, Diggs or Lenon would be nice. I think I'd go with Lenon because of his special teams play.

Someone else who didn't get a mention was David Martin. He's doing pretty well in Miami with no one to throw him the ball...his numbers are close to Lee's, which is pretty good on that team! He's stayed on the field again this year as well. This one's a toss up though, because would you really want to get rid of either Franks or Lee for him?

Longwell...I guess I'd like him because 'he's been there'. But only if we kept Crosby as a kick-off specialist.

Of course, JWalk. Love him or hate him, and I don't care how good our WRs look right now, he'd be an upgrade (ignoring his current injury, of course...)
