Wow. What a nasty way to go. I'm so curious as to how it got out. Something similar happened at Busch Gardens several years ago when a zookeeper lost her arm after a bout with a female lion. Having seen her up close one day while there with my son I can say that it's really surprising how big and powerful these cats are even if you "know how big and strong they are." Paws like serving platters, I sure wouldn't want to get hit by one.

Something doesn't seem right in this horrible tragedy. Either there was some terrible design of the enclosure, negligence by zoo staff or criminal mischief on the part of someone. What a terrifying way to die, too.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

According to the zoo, more humans die each year in tiger attacks than in attacks by any other animal, although such incidents are still rare because tigers normally avoid people.
