It's worked well for us because we have a very large clawfoot tub to fill and you never run out of hot water while doing that, it is not heating water in the tank when your not using it (all day long when we might be gone) they last much longer with regular maintenance than a traditional tank heater, take up less space and shaved around $25 of our monthly gas bill. If you have really cold ground water they may not work as well but you probably won't have that problem. If you have multiple users at once (both showers going at the same time or the laundry and dishwasher it can cut down the hot water flow but you can by more powerful units.Originally posted by SkinBasketwe were considering that. Does it save enough gas over the tank system to make it worth the price?Originally posted by Freak OutGet a on-demand Bosch hot water heater. There are other reputable manufacturers of on-demands but thats the brand I've been using for years.
They are worth looking into but are not the right solution for everybody.C.H.U.D.

I just had a flashback to junior high shop class. I had some experience with tools, having made a go-cart out of lawnmower, and other hair-brained projects. But I just couldn't do shit with wood working.Originally posted by SkinBaskethave problems building a wooden box. I ain't gonna fuck up my bathroom.
The project was to build a bookend! two damn pieces of wood connected at right angles. I couldn't do it. I cut the shape out crooked. All the other kids had perfect looking bookends. It was the most traumatic and humiliating experience of my life, in or out of the bedroom. I cried at night over that bookend.

I've been to the Kohler design site. They were the only ones who carried a gray tiled-in kitchen sink. I also used them for the sink (and I believe faucet in my bath)"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings
