So does the tile hold up pretty well when used as risers? I'd think all the kicking would scratch it up.

The project was to build a bookend! two damn pieces of wood connected at right angles. I couldn't do it. I cut the shape out crooked. All the other kids had perfect looking bookends. It was the most traumatic and humiliating experience of my life, in or out of the bedroom. I cried at night over that bookend.

They held up better than the stair treads which were 2 x 12 pieces of pine. Can you imagine what dogs' toenails do to a piece of pine board??
