Last Christmas my Dad got me one of those Oral-B electric tooth brushes. I must say despite being a luxury item, this is one of the nicest and most appreciated items I have ever used.

Every morning it is like going to the dentist with that thing. Minus the whole horribly unenjoyable part . It does an excellent job though, and I can't even imagine what it would be like to go back to a regular tooth brush and the not-as-clean feeling of my teeth.

So there you have it. What is an item that makes your life far more enjoyable?

I would classify this more as beneficial, than enjoyable, but I'd have to say GPS in a vehicle. I travel alot for my job and I can't even fathom going back to having to google my routes the night before or use a paper map to get where I'm going. Besides not getting lost, it's also very helpful in finding restaurants, ATM's, gas stations, hotels, etc.

Perhaps we all take flush toilets for granted. My daughter, who is arriving from Tanzania today is sick of spending weeks digging a hole in the ground with a hand trowel to relieve herself.

I still remember the summers at my grandfather's cottage near Hayward about the "Adventures" of using the outhouse in the middle of the night.

Think of our pioneering ancestors in Wisconsin who had to use the outhouse in the middle of winter and putting your bottom on the wood seats in -10 below zero weather.

Ah, the modern convenience of flush toilets...
