  • Misheard lyrics

Alright, spend an hour or so laughing at other people's interpretations of Beatles songs:

Misheard Lyrics, Index. Misheard lyrics (also known as mondegreens) are instances of when a song lyric can't be understood, and the mind substitues a new word for you.

Then 'fess up and post your OWN misheard lyrics!!!!

I'll admit it--I heard these lyrics: http://www.amiright.com/misheard/son...utonight.shtml as "I'm not talkin' 'bout my linen"!!!!!!!!

Another song that has common mishead lyrics...especially when i used to sing this as a kid...

An old Kenny Rogers song, says "4 hungry children and a crop in the field" I thought it said "four hundred children and a crop in the field"

Never understood why there were so many damn kids in that field....

OMG, some of those on that list are hilarious.

              Jimmy Buffett's, "Margaritaville"
              Misheard Lyrics:
Blew out my flip flop, Stepped on a poptart
              Original Lyrics:
Blew out my flip flop, Stepped on a pop top
              *******************************************

ok, I admit... I was mistaken in some of the lyrics from "beat it".

                O' Tannenbaum, O' Tannenbaum

Oh Atom Bomb, Oh Atom Bomb
                I can't run no more
                With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
                Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
                A thundercloud

From when I was a kid:

                      76 Trombones:

76 Trombones led the big parade.

76 strong bones led the big parade.
                      I can't run no more
                      With that lawless crowd
