I had three pints of Fat Tire and a Chicken Vesuvio sandwich at Bar Louie in Oak Park on Thursday:Originally posted by BadgepackI took an extended weekend off from work and went to Fort Worth to check out my daughters new home.

Three pints of Kolsch with fried pickles and pretzels at Goose Island in Wrigleyville on Friday afternoon:

Four liters of Kostrizer Maibock with a huge pretzel and the Sheboygan Bratwurst plate at The Chicago Brauhaus in Lincoln Park on Friday night:

Saturday I had a tuna volcano at George's Family Restaurant and Pancake House in Oak Park (I was a little hung over.)
Saturday night I had 3 bottles of Moretti and potato gnocchi at Lorenzo's Trattoria in St. Louis:

Sunday I had a beer sampler with a pint of Keller and pub chips at Square One Brewery in Lafayette Square:

Then I had a liter of Konig Ludwig at St Louis Gast Haus:

And finally, a falafel plate at Al-Tarboush deli in University City:

I hope your weekend was as enjoyable.

Be sure to take the tram up to the top of the Sandia Mountains while you are in Albuquerque. It is quite an experience and view from the top.
They even have a restaurant at the top if you want to linger and take in the view.

Looks like you know the good spots in Chicago. I live in the Fox Valley. Maybe I should take the Metra in and catch a brew and a burger with ya.Originally posted by Iron MikeI had three pints of Fat Tire and a Chicken Vesuvio sandwich at Bar Louie in Oak Park on Thursday:Originally posted by BadgepackI took an extended weekend off from work and went to Fort Worth to check out my daughters new home.

I built an integrated tube amp which I've been quietly designing for the last year or so. It's very sophisticated for a DIY amplifier and I'm extremely proud of how its turned out. Its got that power and old tube sound that I love with some very modern features such as digital volume and IR control. I even use the embedded controller to monitor the vacuum tubes and automatically adjust currents which greatly extends their life.
I think I'll start designing some speakers in the near future.70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

Yeah the preamp section is composed of 2 12AX7's and 4 6SN7's. I guess you might call it a "line conditioner" instead of a preamp because I did not include a phono section. I might design a phono section if I build an amp for my Dad but I really have no use for one.Originally posted by ZoolDoes you have a tube pre also?
