I read it quite often and have actually bought and sold a few things on it. I like it because you're dealing with local people and don't have to deal with shipping and stuff.

One word of caution though, if you sell something that can be shipped, don't even reply to people that simply ask "is this item for sale" because then they give you this bs story on how they will be sending you x amount of dollars and how it's a present for their kid going off to college, blah blah blah. Then they want to know if you use paypal. It's a scam.

I guess in a nutshell, if you keep it local, you'll be ok.
