So, are you saying if Romney or Huck were the VP you would not vote for McCain? I'm curious as to who would solidify McCain as the presidential favorite.

I think you're overlooking another very significant demographic: non-whites. Harlan is of no help to you there.

I think there would be better choices, do I know any no. Just keep abortion legal and I will be a happy camper, although I can't see Huck being any more of a threat to abortion rights than our current president so I really don't see why I wouldn't vote for McCain if Huck was Vice. Romney would be ok as well. Isn't Russ Feingold available?

On an unrelated note, I'm ready to kick ol' Doyle in the balls after paying $34 to renew my license and another $75 for each plate.

Supposedly I'm an old whitey myself.

You are lucky to pay so little
Arizona charges $2.80 for every $100 of the assessed value of your vehicle for registration every year.
example: a $30,000 vehicle would cost $840. I paid it, and I was pissed

I've always been ready to kick ol' Doyle in the balls. He sounded like a blustering idiot in his sound bite yesterday regarding the Janesville plant closing. "When ppl work hard and make a good product and shit, then GOOD things are supposed to happen!"

Well, Jimmy, not in a state where you jack up taxes and fees sky high, appoint judges to the Supreme Court that vastly expand business liability in the state, and generally make this state extremely inhospitable to business. Do you wonder why they decided to close the plant rather than retool it? They're moving production to Ohio.

Wisconsin has only just started on the raising fees angle, becuase our property taxes are about maxed out for a while. Apparently there's a lot of room to expand on the fees.

I am pretty sure you all don't give a shit, but the outside world hopes and prays that you elect Obama.

We are all pretty delighted that you declined Hillary, believe me.

We would be very encouraged if you now declined McCain.

Not that we claim to know anything about it! We know nothing! But we do have feelings.

Tar, what does the world view McCain as? Another Bush or some mutated form of him? And what do they view Obama as?

Actaully, the world has no real view yet of McCain. By this time both of the last elections, there was a strong view of Mr. Bush and it was not good. Neither times.

The world is hoping that America's new leader (i.e. the most powerful person in the world) is a black man from Chicago.

The world has no rights in your elections, BH. They're just saying, is all.

I agree a black man from Chicago could and maybe should be president. Just..this isn't the guy. Not by any stretch.
