Bump for Perseid Meteor Shower.
For any peeps more experienced with this, I live in suburbia but behind my house is a golf course that doesn't get too much light. Will I still be able to take in the effects of the shower?"I've got one word for you- Dallas, Texas, Super Bowl"- Jermichael Finley

How brightly do you see the stars? You can try going out to the middle of the course, but it's best to get as far away from the city as possible (don't get eaten by a gator--that could be uncomfortable)."Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

Also, I keep on reading that the best time to view is 7:00 AM. Should I make the effort to get up in the middle of the night to view? If it's gonna be a good show than I'll be happy to do it, but I don't wanna sit outside in the Florida heat to only get a glimpse of 1 or 2."I've got one word for you- Dallas, Texas, Super Bowl"- Jermichael Finley

You could go to Hawai'i, where they make a concerted effort to keep the ambient light to a minimum.....Originally posted by BallHawkBump for Perseid Meteor Shower.

Went out at around 5 and got a meteor count of about 15 in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, Florida being Florida, I had to go in after being swarmed by mosquitoes and a few ants biting me.
Caught a few good ones, though, so I guess it was worth getting up."I've got one word for you- Dallas, Texas, Super Bowl"- Jermichael Finley
