Well I played the new Madden and a PS3 for that matter for the first time last night. It was a ball. I'm completely inept on offense for the most part but I feel like they made defense much easier to play. In past madden's I would never even dream of not letting the computer play CB but I held my own.

Why? I have had a great deal of success of letting my computer control my defenders. If you switch to a DB mid play, you get burned every time. If you don't have a good pass rush, you get burned.

I play as an end or a MLB. I'm pretty gd good.

I said "never dream of not." This year is the first year its actually possible to play corner without getting toasted. They even have a button to press cover. Its pretty fun.

I dunno, I don't like playing as the corners in previous maddens. For what its worth, 2007 is my most recent version.

Aren't you still playing on the original Xbox?

Yeah. On those versions, I don't like using the corners unless you start with them at the snap. When they're in stride and you switch to them their is a micro-second pause and you get burned. This routinely happens when I play against somebody that goes deep.

I have remedied the problem by controlling a DE and pressuring the passer.

I used to be pretty hardcore madden and would play with 3irty1 among others quite frequently. Now I rarely pick up the sticks, but I feel like I could still hold my own. I run the rock repeatedly and stop the run. It's a pretty suffocating game plan.

Madden's soundtrack is unbearable. Seriously, how much teen angst/screamo can one game have? My God, made my ears bleed.
