  • Remember when........

.......way back, I said the name Brett Favre sells.
    Well, click on this http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/index
There is Brett.........his name, nor the Jets are not even mentioned in the article or predictions.
I think my point has been made.

What are they selling? Unless you can show that because of that graphic traffic spiked..your point is far from proven. You don't think the QB in the largest media market has something to do with it?

Hmm, wonder why they don't use his name on the front page.

As for Jets..um, you dont' think NFL fans recognize the uni?

Oh, I guess his selling is slipping..since the graphic clearly has 4 other players.

      ..........it is right now....... http://espn.go.com/

Perhaps the word 'sell' is the wrong word.......but I do think you know perfectly well what I mean.

His Jersey should be selling like Jordan's jersey when he came back from playing baseball. It's been the biggest football story of the summer, and by a wide margin.

Favre does sell. I'm not sure what the point is, but Brett is a very popular football player.

I guess my point is and was, that a picture of Favre or the name of Farve seems to 'highlight' many sports articles..........

I wasn't trying to prove anyone 'wrong'..........Ty and I had some discussions awhile back on the subject.
                Let's just drop it.

I heard some conversation between sports commentators during the recent Favre debacle, and they were arguing that Favre may be the single most recognizable sports figure on the planet, or at the very least in team sports. Discuss.
