I'll take a mini shot at the first part and then Mad can yell at me if I'm wrong. The topic of multiple identities was considered and many agreed that past security was too soft and in here we're best served by KIS (keep it simple). I'm no techie so I won't get into specifics I don't understand, but preventative measures have been taken to try to make this site secure and part of that includes being careful about the names as well as making it harder to post with multiple accounts.

Good idea Mazzin.

Answer: If you want to make three account then go ahead but you have a poster reputation on PR and seems like most would want to keep it and their post count. The name change option is mostly for those who dont like the one they registered with or maybe misspelled it or maybe even want to add a seasonal touch. To avoid the name dupping we have seen on other forums there has to be a limit and the only way to limit it is making it admin approved.
