You can't run and hide from the sinister America-hate that has been spewed by the shithead you backed for president.Originally posted by MadScientistHere's the actual quoteOriginally posted by texaspackerbackerFrom Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
Perhaps if you check your information before posting shit from spam e-mail you won't come off as a complete fucking moron.FULL QUOTE From Dreams From My Father:
Whenever I appear before immigrant audiences, I can count on some good-natured ribbing from my staff after my speech; according to them, my remarks always follow a three-part structure: “I am your friend,” “[Fill in the home country] has been a cradle of civilization,” and “You embody the American dream.” They’re right, my message is simple, for what I’ve come to understand is that my mere presence before these newly minted Americans serves notice that they matter, that they are voters critical to my success and full-fledged citizens deserving of respect.
Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. [Page 260-261]
The quote I mentioned, as I stated, comes from FactCheck.org--not a conservative source at all. It is common knowledge, and it is from the asshole's own book--Audacity of Hope.
Whatever you cited, if an accurate quote at all, comes the dipshit's other book. If it is an expansion of the original designed to mitigate it, well, whatever. Even your quote, however, is pretty damaging, as he basically discounts the reasoning of American security officials, siding, rather, with the accused terrorists who have been--and should continue to be--locked up without the right of due process afforded to Americans.
Your own quote, much less the one I cited in Obama's book, exposes the bastard as an extremist and an America-hater. You can run, but you can't hide from the rottenness of this piece of crap who has been inflicted on America. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

This is the real point here. The only reason I brought up Obama is that now, India, Israel, etc. are more likely to form their own coalition, knowing an Obama administration will drag its feet in combatting the Muslim terrorist enemy.Originally posted by digitaldeanAccording to reports at least 5 Americans are dead. One couple (a Rabbi and his wife) were killed in the Mumbai Jewish center.
Another pair were a father and his 13 year old daughter.
This had to take a helluva a lot of pre-planning to carry this out.
If this group is based in Pakistan, it means more animosity between Pakistan and India.
A clash of civilizations, however, is coming sooner or later, and India, with a billion or so people and its own nukes, will be a powerful ally against the forces of Islam.
Better sooner than later for that war, while the enemy can be crushed with far less retaliation than if we wait until they have more sophisticated weaponry. (Yes, I know Pakistan has nukes too, but Iran is the more significant threat with its attempts to obtain longer range delivery systems.)What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Tex, it's quiz time. What was Barack Obama's FIRST goal. He stated it flatly in each debate and his acceptance speech. Number 1 goal. What was it?"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

Bill Clintons first goal was a huge massive middle class tax cut. His first ACTION was a middle class tax hike.Originally posted by MJZiggyTex, it's quiz time. What was Barack Obama's FIRST goal. You are correct, I don't know what he "stated", I only know what he is going to do based on past history of liberal democratic leaders.Originally posted by MJZiggyBarack Obama is not Bill Clinton. You didn't answer the question.
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were going to lower the price of gasoline and end pork barrell spending. I stopped listening to democratic campaign promises about 100 days later.
If you would be so kind though, please fill me in. I want to know what to mock in a few months when he hasn't done it.The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

That is rich. You attack his position without even knowing what it is, based on what other people did in the past. Just because the elder Bush said "read my lips; no new taxes" and then added them doesn't mean his own son mimicked his fiscal actions. And they were freaking father and son. By your logic, all republicans should be trying to invent new taxes all over the place. Why not find out what the dude is actually going to DO before making blind assumptions about it without no information to go on?
And by the way, gas is now at $1.79 a gallon, so I guess Nancy did what she said she would, didn't she?"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

Not to be a topic Nazi, but can we get back to the topic at hand? We have hundreds of threads with this back-and-forth BS, can we have one political thread that focuses on something besides American politics?
Anyways, we'll have to wait a few days, maybe weeks, for more information to come out. I doubt that the terrorists were directly involved with the Pakistani Govt. One can only imagine what the Indian response would be if it was, though. 11 of the terrorists were from Bangladesh, which I found interesting. The other 29 were Pakistani. Some reports say it could be Kashmir-related, but we'll just have to wait and see."I've got one word for you- Dallas, Texas, Super Bowl"- Jermichael Finley

At the price of everyone's 401ks. If you truly believe this isn't deflation, then you're on crack. My parents would much rather have over a million in 401ks with 4 dollars a gallon than 300k and 2 dollars a gallon.Originally posted by MJZiggyThat is rich.
