NOOOOOOO JP Patches died today. OK... I'll admit I thought he died 20 years ago and I never even saw his show and I couldn't tell you squat about him except that he seemed to be on every "nostalgic" local "retrospect" show, but he was a Seattle ICON (that much I DO know) and now to have the "finality" of it all thrown up in our faces.... NOOOOOO... just like Ivar Haglund. ***sigh*** Ivar is dead... right?
I'm not sure where they are coming from but I have noticed strange, heavily clothed women wearing head scarves at increasing frequency around Anchorage this summer.
I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen
I'm not sure I've ever seen anything that was so wrong that impressed me so much.

Those were the days! Both shows were showcasing all that was bad with 70s TV. But of course I watched them...
Everything that was "bad" about 70's TV was everything that was "good" about it! LOL! The "camp" can't be recaptured! BTW- Larry Hagman just needs to give it up already. The banana peel under his elevator shoes is about to give way. **ahem** Our special tonight is JR Liver with a bourbon and branch reduction... served with humble pie and root vegetables.

Aren't there way more men in Alaska compared to women? Maybe they are just looking to cash in.

Maybe it's the only place in the country cool enough to wear a headscarf so they move there. *sweating*

After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
