I was! That might have been it because I have vague recollections of a phone call to my sister to get help with posting a Spaceman Spiff avatar. Back in the day when I was a completely computer illiterate.

        • One of my favorite Tank moments was when he informed us that he carried a 3.75 "gba" on his way to a degree in economics. I suppose that he also graduated gum laude.

            • My boy is almost completely healed. Doc was worried about nerve damage below his eye. The numbness is almost completely gone, just some weird twitching he can feel yet. Released him to play the last week of the season. He was so happy to be playing again. Thursday we are off to Sioux City for the All Star State Tournament. If they win that we go to Indiana for Regionals.

I didn't even know about it until you mentioned it. Now I'm bummed!

Janet Planet was onstage as I checked the performer list for Acoustic Fest. Janet and I went to the same high school in Appleton (Willem Dafoe's High school as well) and I took over as lead singer when Janet Planet left the Orbitones to sing for a band called Blue Collar. That girl has a BIG voice.

Tom Pease was up first. He is a children's musician mostly, and I use a bunch of his music in my classroom.

Here is Janet just five years out of high school:

Here is Janet Planet as an experienced Jazz diva:

                • Artscape is in Baltimore this weekend. Odd that the population of the visitors is so broken. Strange to compare it to events in DC. You'd think it would be comparable, but it's not even close.

She's from Norway and she likes shopping and finding antiques.

Let's all give her a big rat welcome.

A Dane County man is the third person convicted in a scheme to dig up a dead woman so his brother could have sex with the body.

A Grant County court official says a jury deliberated about an hour today before finding Alexander C. Grunke, 24, of Mount Horeb guilty of third-degree sexual assault.

He was previously convicted on related charges of theft and criminal damage to a cemetery.

Authorities say he, his brother and another 23-year-old went to a Cassville cemetery in 2006 to remove the body of a 20-year-old woman killed a week earlier in a motorcycle crash. The 23-year-old told investigators Grunke's brother wanted to have sex with the body.

Grunke's attorney declined to comment until she could follow up with her client.

After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
