Man arrested after goose chase
LAVILLA CAPENER WAUSAU DAILY HERALD • OCTOBER 7, 2010
A 40-year-old Wausau man was arrested Thursday afternoon after he chased a one-legged goose into the Wisconsin river, police said.
Troy Kaczor, 40, of Wausau took off his shirt and shoes at Big Bull Falls Park, 204 W. Scott St., Wausau, before chasing the goose. Kaczor was extremely intoxicated at the time and said he wanted to catch and cook the goose, Wausau Lt. Bill Kolb said. Another person who was near the river at the time called the police.
The water temperature became too much for Kaczor and he could not leave the water by his own accord, Kolb said. The Wausau Fire Department rescued him.
The Wausau Police arrested Kaczor, 529 McClellan St., Wausau, because he had a warrant for bail jumping out for his arrest, Kolb said.
