That's not as remarkable as the pretzel that looks like the Virgin Mary.

      I can't run no more
      With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
      Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up

Given that their last mission was a a grocery delivery out and a garbage pick up/ trip to the landfill home, I can see why they came home under the shadow of darkness. I love the idea of the space program, but in the end, the Shuttle mostly was used to take stuff to the space station and the space station was built to have a place for the shuttle to go to. The Space program surrounding the shuttle had little purpose or imagination. Good riddance.

            • The dog just peed on my foot while I was helping her stand up so she could go out. She then tried to get into bed rather than go out. I had to get her up again and drag her to the door and then make her go downstairs to finish peeing. This is getting old in a hurry.

              • Awwe, I feel for her. How old is she? My dog recently went through an episode and the vet said no jumping on furniture and no steps while she was on steroids for a couple weeks. We have steps all over so it was a real fun time carrying her.

                • The dog just turned 13 and 1/2. She weighs about 65 lbs. and does ok at Mike's where there's carpet, but has trouble getting her feet under her on the hardwood floors here so I try to help stabilize her when she gets up. She has to go down stairs to get to the back yard, and we have to talk her into going outside and into going down the stairs. I fear the day she can't do it. If it were the other dog who is only 30 lbs. it would be less of a deal.

                    • My dog got a really bad infection, skin, foot, mouth, and eye. At least green pus was coming out of his eye. anyways he is feeling much better after antibiotics. I didn't realize how sick he was until his foot got really bad.

                        • My finished basement and Packer game room was flooded after crazy-ass storms went through Wed night/Thur morning. Weird using that word flooded because I never in a million years thought that could happen where I live. Man, I just cried when I saw my basement on Thur. morning. About 3 inches of water everywhere. Kids and I worked about 18 hrs. the first day and many, many yesterday and today. This house has a sub pump in the basement but it obviously either quit working or couldn't keep up with all the rain. Finally got to the point where we could rip out all the carpet yesterday and now just the waiting game waiting for everything to dry up good. Allllllll that money you pay for homeowners insurance = NADA in this situation. No flood insurance u get nothing. No sub pump insurance u get nothing. Just really, really sucks!!!!

Sorry to hear about that. A few months before I moved to Wausau in 1996, I had this happen. I didn't have carpet in my basement, but I had to shovel out the basement, if you know what I mean.

I didn't have the flooding like that....mud and gunk. (like from river water, if that's what you meant) We just had record breaking rainfall in a very short time. There are varying accounts of the rainfall but range from almost 11 inches to 14 inches in less than 12 hours. My basement has never taken water before but I will be nervous as heck the next time we have a hard rainfall.
My ex brother-in-law is lucky to be alive. His truck was swept off the highway driving home from work Wed. night. Water took it to a lower level and the cab started to fill up with water. He got out of the back window and was obviously swept away himself. Luckily it was where there were some trains that where stopped and he was able to latch on to a car. Fire department came across the tops of the train cars and were able to pull him up that way. Crazy shit!

                              • We are definitely in the throes of a nearly perfect full moon. I went to see my friend who bartends at a local pub to watch the second half of the Pack game and the Mariners V Bosox game. (Nice job Mariners by the way) Anywhoo.... there was a wedding in the Hotel, bride and groom get in screaming match, fights ensue, cabs come, security is on it.... high drama right? But wait, there's more.... some dude wants to buy 6 bottles of liquor from the bar to take back to his room, arguments ensue again, as they do, big no no in WA state.... BUT... hey.... the night moves on.

Meanwhile some chicky falls over in the bathroom, hits her head on the door, laying on floor, can't open door because her dead weight is impeding the ability for us to do so. Finally get her out but not without a roll of toilet paper attached to her shoe. Follow the roll and it leads to the pocket of her jacket... that's right... she has a roll in her jacket pocket that is wrapped around her five inch hooker heels.... good times! Oh, and lest we forget about the screaming homeless dude who wandered in from the 405 begging for free soup and telling me that Jesus was going to "right" all of the worlds "wrongs"... when pressed for a time frame however, he was at a loss. Just spit some corn out (from the free bowl of veggie soup that he procured of course) through his "summer teeth" whilst muttering about life's injustices. I could probably get him a job at Boeing. Anyway... more good times....
