The planets were aligned today! A broom would stand upright on it's own today. Also...eggs would stand upright as well. It doesn't sound cool, but it was actually pretty neat. There were pictures of people doing it all over facebook today. I even took a few myself.

An e-mail sent moments after replacing a twenty-five year old tank of a three pound solid steel Swingline stapler that had been ravaged by cheap staples procured by the Central Administration Office of Penny Wise and Pound Foolish with another old stapler that had turned up in a supply closet:

It, like its predecessor, now sucks, having been damaged by substandard staples purchased in someone's zeal to save a buck two eighty on a thousand gross of staples manufactured in Xianzhuang province by five year old orphans and carted by donkey and raft to Industrial Port and Salvage Yard #7, Pong Dung, North Korea.

I hereby submit my request for a replacement stapler that will probably be made of milk jug plastic and recycled grocery carts. If I could upgrade to a Chinese model it would be great.
