    Does anyone know how to capture those videos from online news pages - like CNN, etc.?

    I can email the site and remove the redirects but want to save it as a file so I can view it after the site takes it down from their playlist.

    I could PM the actual video link if someone knows more about media player or flash or something.

    Much appreciated.

      Unless they disable it you could right click on it and save target as or something to that effect

        Unless they disable it you could right click on it and save target as or something to that effect
        Tried that too - not able to. I emailed the news director and asked him to send me a file. Hopefully he responds.

            Well, I run Windows so this ain't gonna work. I was able to download it and turn in into a zip file (to open the root files) but windows doesn't recognize any of the file types.

              it definitely runs with firefox, let me look into it further. I would think it woud run with windows firefox.

              edit - download the latest firefox, go to that link within firefox, click install now. view > toolbar > customize
              and you'll find a small icon named VideoDownloader

              I haven't actually done this, so take it for what its worth
