  • Watchmen

This is my most anticipated movie in awhile. Any see an early showing or plan on going to see it today?

A review I read said it is based on some sort of hallowed underground comic book/novella revered by all of geekdom. The plot was described as being rather beyond description as many of the story's elements are non-linear.

And apparently the galactic squid was written out of the ending, risking the eternal ire of "Watchmen" purists.

You'll have to let me know if Dr. Manhattan is the right shade of blue.

It's a really good story. It's one of the few comics I've actually read.

??? Are you that fucking judgemental over someone reading a comic? What do you do with your life that you can judge me?

Also, note the hypocrisy in making a statement like that towards me, but not Nutz, after Nutz admitted to being a comic fan as well.

Anyway, instead of thread crapping (please go back to JSO, everyone here hates you), let's discuss the topic at hand, shall we?

I've heard that its a pretty gruesome and intense movie. Definitely very true to the comic, so I don't recommend taking your kids thinking its going to be Spiderman.

Porn for nerds. I won't say it sucks until I see it, though that's what I'm hearing, but then again, I probably won't see it for a couple years because it looks pretty mundane, except for that owl guy who looks like a queer raver gone wild at a comic book convention. That outfit is the main reason I don't want to see the movie to be honest.

Way back in the day I read Sergeant Rock and Weird War comics..Turok son of Stone..before I discovered Heinlein and Bradbury.

I have never known anyone personally that reads comic books. If you enjoy doing so that's fine. Actually it helps me when I read your "posts".

I think he was commenting on the self-insinuation that you looked at comics without reading them... and that perhaps... you know... you made love to them...

Nutz already knows I dont like him and he doesnt like me.

And I dont like you and it has nothing to do with comic books.
