Well, I'm not sure how I feel about the movie. I've let it settle in for about 18 hours now, and I'm still not sure what I think.

It was fairly true to the comic outside of a few missing back stories. They left out a lot of the philosophical content, and I think they could have done a better job of Rorschach's back story, especially pertaining to his unwillingness to compromise.

They changed the ending, and I actually like the new facet of the story more, but I did not care for the execution of it.

It was the best movie since the Dark Knight by far, and while it was less entertaining, it was far more thought provoking.

It was excessively gruesome. It kind of reminded me of Saw in that regard, and I'm fairly squeamish about that sort of thing.

Overall, I give it an 8/10. I'll probably go see it again next week during spring break.

What? Watchmen is a GN that a lot of book clubs, etc read. This is a big story. Just because the novel has pictures, doesn't mean it isn't a quality story.

As a matter of fact, one could make a strong argument that some of the best stories ever written were related to comics. Spiderman and Batman for example, are both deep, complex stories.

Sheepshead, when is the last time you sat down and read a book cover to cover? I would be curious to know, because you sure are quick to throw people who actually do read something (albeit a slightly different medium under the bus). People reading comics are at the very least reading something, which is more than I can say for most people.

I loved Tipping Point. Blink was great too, though I think Tipping Point has better applicability.

pretty good movie, maybe seeing the midnight showing of it on the same night of daylights saving time wasnt the best idea, but idk felt like they could left some stuff out, and explained some other stuff
Overall if you like porn and killing then you'll love this

It's not like Sheepshead doesn't read at all. He spends hours pouring through back issues of Cat Fancy magazine.

Speaking of cats, a little while ago, my kamikaze desk ornament was laying here dreaming and I couldn't help but ponder what these little suckers might dream about. Ideas?

Ok well this is telling isnt it....yikes
??? Are you that fucking judgemental over someone reading a comic? What do you do with your life that you can judge me?

Also, note the hypocrisy in making a statement like that towards me, but not Nutz, after Nutz admitted to being a comic fan as well.
Nutz already knows I dont like him and he doesnt like me.

And I dont like you and it has nothing to do with comic books.
                          What?

Believe me.....if I would have found a comic like that when I was 11 I would have looked through it.
