This team could not close, be it offensively, defensively or on special teams. Despite what the statistics say, this team was horrible in the second half of games. Until this changes they will stay near 6-10.
Thanks for the thought and research there, parsh.

He posted an opinion. Your sarcasm is worse than your post. Why do you think your knowledge is superior? Because you took a few minutes to read something or you went to an OTA?Originally posted by JustinHarrellYeah. I thought it was a good post. There was no research. He didn't nail anything down. Can you show me otherwise?

This stuff goes on all the time here, and just about every forum. It seems only when Partial is on the end of a little pot shot does anything happen in terms of administration stepping in. I have seen him poke his head into some other disputes, but alot of it seems to be in Partial's defense.
Tell me if I am wrong.

First, I'm sorry that admin ruined your good thread, PB but here we are and I'm not going to take his garbage.
Well, admin, this thread was started so people could improve the article by providing research and reasoning. My opinion was that Partial added nothing to the conversation, almost to the point where it insulted the thread. That's the kind of thing he does that annoys the hell out of us. You disagree. You think he has a relevant, valid opinion that added to the thread. You got your word in. I still think it added nothing and I think more people would agree with me than you (doesn't make me right, but it makes me feel better about it). I like that you disagree, but I'm not going to stop posting my opinion.
As far as I'm concerned, I thought my post was fine. It's what I do here. I will not temper it any further than I already have. I will not change unless I believe in the change and I don't right now. It's who I am. If I think a post is BS, I'm going to say it. Over time, If I'm calling things BS and I turn out to be wrong, I'll get my share of flack for it. That's how it works. That's why things come back and bite people in the ass. I can promise you that as long as I'm allowed here, I will continue to post exactly like I just did. If I'm wrong, I'll take my flack and learn my lessons but I will never learn a lesson from you telling me what I can and cannot post. Ban me today and ban me for good because it will never change.
On GBPG article blogs, I'm CurseOfHarrell. At packerchatters I'm GregJennings. Going forward, I'm going to change all of my names to CurseOfHarrell. If anyone wants to say hey at another forum and I get banned here, that's who I'll be. I'll take any amount of disagreement on my posts. I'll take any criticism but I will not stop posting my opinions. If you want that, you'll have to ban me and make it for good because it will never change.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

If you phrase your disagreement in terms of the opinion and not the poster, I wouldn't have a problem with that. But you don't. Your potshot was clearly directed at a personal nature instead of an opinion response. That's got to stop, regardless of who it is.Originally posted by JustinHarrellFirst, I'm sorry that admin ruined your good thread, PB but here we are and I'm not going to take his garbage.

Read Waldo's post. He somehow managed to get his point across without insulting the poster. You didn't even attemp that.
If you want to leave, go, if you want to stay, stop insulting people. It is really very simple.

I have no relationship with Partial at all, have never even spoken to him in any manner. I posted in another thread regarding woodbuck too, don't know him either.
Here is what I do know. I've received several PM's over the last few weeks with long time posters "taking a break" because of the personal nature of posts around here. That's real, and not a mirage.
I'd rather have those people here, than the people that want to insult others and demean their opinion.
You can accept that or just continue to look for the conspiracy theory. I haven't posted much because I've been reading and getting to know people, and what they are trying to do. There are a handful that I'm not really thrilled with.
As to your quote of the forum rules, it'd be great if those things were observed. But they aren't being observed, and they are driving good contributors off. That has to end. If you've got a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

This is common to all message boards, and really afflicts one type of poster. Every place that I have been a part of, people will lash out and attack negative posters that tend to not come from an informed position and cannot be swayed by reason. They are extremely difficult to debate points with.Originally posted by AdministratorI have no relationship with Partial at all, have never even spoken to him in any manner. About the best that comes of it, they force you to study the validity of arguments in depth, and come from an informed position with support. The best you can hope to accomplish is to sway all other observers to your side of the argument with the case you've laid out, as the person being debated cannot be beaten and will never lose their resolve, no matter how one sided the discussion.
This is often terribly frustrating for people attempting to debate this type of poster, 90%+ of all people banned all over (at least the ones banned for the task at hand, and not things like inappropriate/off task posts (the porn posters and advertisers)) are banned while debating 5% of the posters. It is not easy to learn self control while posting when frustrated, especially when the frustration is not from being beaten in an argument, instead frustrated from blowing away your competition and having no effect on the course of the debate.
I don't know if you guys have noticed, I have not once entered into any sort of Favre debate. It is a battle I've been fighting for more than 5 years, and I used to come from a very unpopular position, that has risen in popularity in the last year.

First of all, admin, this is what I said, "Oh yeah. Win games instead of losing them. Thanks for nailing that down
Thanks for the thought and research there, parsh."
Earlier in the thread I gave another post that had nothing to do with the topic. I said, [b] "nice thread" [\b] or something to that effect to PB
If you thought PB said something stupid, you'd think my post to him was sarcastic. If you thought Partial said something stupid, you'd think my post was sarcastic.
You, admin, are scolding me for your own opinion of what Partial said. I didn't have to insult Partial. Like usual, he insulted himself by opening his mouth.
2nd, I told you about a month ago that these control freaks loved it here because they could ban differing opinions, especially ones that make them look stupid. They do not know any other way to deal with it than to ban a poster. They cannot ignore. They cannot agree to disagree. It's either you think their opinion is valid or ban. Now, with the new leadership, these people are squirming. They're threatening to leave (like I told you they would) You know what, admin? I'll bet you 75% of the posts from the posters who are gone were made in the romper room. The other 25%, in the Packer room, were probably fighting about Brett Favre. This place will be better if these posters grow spines or never come back. Trying to punish a whole great forum for 3 or 4 control freaks is absolutely idiotic, but they are clever manipulators, they've accomplished it before. It looks like SC and Ty are gone, which I think is BS.
I'm here because I've built relationships here and I like to talk Packer football. The first comes before the 2nd or I'd be anywhere else. I'm strong enough to listen to any opinion (like mine or otherwise). I won't stop posting my opinions because a couple people can't handle them. If it gets to the point where it's ban me or lose them, that's a choice you're going to have to make because i guarantee you'll see more posts like the one you scolded me about. I think you'll make the wrong decision and side with a couple of non Packer fans that don't add anything but high post counts on off-topics. They make you feel good by asking you to solve a problem. I make you feel useless becuase I don't need you for anything except to get out of the way. Like with most people it's all about you. In the process of being a typical (need to feel good) human, enjoy ruining your own forum by giving a helping hand to the useless while eliminating the interesting. I'm sure it will make you feel great while making your forum suck.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

Strangely those few you speak of were the liberals who couldn't defend a viewpoint so the solution was to ship politics our of the RR. Perhaps we could solve the problem with a new room for those who now despise Favre.Originally posted by JustinHarrellFirst of all, admin, this is what I said, "Oh yeah. Ty is not gone. Ty agrees with you. Ty has watched the admin admonish certain posters and NEVER admonish others...based on his own criteria.Originally posted by JustinHarrellIt looks like SC and Ty are gone, which I think is BS.
If or when Ty gets banned...look for Ty or otownbadger/phxbadger on other forums.
Even though large parts of Forum and many old and famous threads have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Admin and all the odious apparatus of his rule, we shall not flag or fail. Ty shall go on to the end, Ty shall fight in Green Bay forum, Ty shall fight on the Romper Room and Badger forum, Ty shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, Ty shall defend our Forum, whatever the cost may be, Ty shall fight on the Favre threads, Ty shall fight on the TT threads, Ty shall fight in the Ruvell threads and in the Garbage Can, ty shall fight in the bucks forum; Ty shall never surrender, and if, which Ty does not for a moment believe, this Forum or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Posters beyond the Internet, armed and guarded by the other forums, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the new packer forums, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the Old.

Those unable to see what partial sees lack "mental toughness."Originally posted by Lurker64There are reasons that you believe the things you do. You claim that the Packers went 6-10 because they weren't mentally tough and displayed poor second half play calling, so you apparently believe that. Now potentially your reason for believing this is "they went 6-10 and they're talented, so it's got to be something..." in which case this is circular reasoning; the Packers did not go 6-10 because they went 6-10.Originally posted by PartialThat raises the question of why does anything happen? How can anyone quantify anything like that.
But if there's something else to it, if you have specific reasons that you believe what you claim to believe, and specific examples that reinforce your beliefs, we would love to hear it. At the very least, it would dispell all doubts that your reasoning is circular.
After all, if the Packers truly lacked mental toughness, someone else who watched the same games you did should be able to spot this if you informed them what "lack of mental toughness" looks like.
