I was shocked to learn he was 97! I would have guessed he was in his low 80's. He was a fine actor, IMO.

To me he'll always be Omar Bradley in "Patton". He was perfect for that role as Bradley was known as a quiet and modest officer despite his high rank.
      I can't run no more
      With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
      Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
      A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
