Why not just revoke people's ability to post in the Packer forum if they are being too divisive. That does the job with minimum of sterilizing. The banned people add positive value to the forum despite their irritating moments.

FYI is just a handfull of misfits who talk mostly to themselves. A couple trouble makers cursing about Favre will pass unnoticed.

Better idea get a couple of moderators and let them ...well moderate. You post a useless hate spewing post..boom it's gone.

I don't think you missed much, you pretty much nailed it except I'm not sure if JH is getting hammered or is nuts. I fear the latter to be honest.
