How about the push button car transmissions? My aunt used to have a Dodge Dart where you pushed buttons for Drive, Reverse, and Park.

She also called the car "Dammit" because it wouldn't start in the winter if the temperature was colder than 20 degrees F+. As we lived in northern Wisconsin, that meant we had to go over to her house to give her car a "jump" many, many times.
