No, but I browsed around it awhile tonight. It's smart without being geeky. I'm not really technically savvy. I'm the guy who spent a long time trying to figure out how to rewind my DVD's. Dilbert.com is more my style.

Paraphrasing but....

It is about himself. IIRC, he had just received a large royalty check and instead of being happy about the $$$, he felt like he had sold out. So, he went out on a drinking binge, ran into the sex pistols, preached to them that they had to carry on the cause, or something like that. Then ran one and passed out in some alley in Soho bar district. Supposedly, a copy found him and said the line "You can go sleep at home tonight if you can get up and walk away". So simplistically, it is Townshend questioning what has become of himself and The Who.

Recall this from an interview Townshend did and how he described the reason behind the song.
