Yes. They race on the same course as the snowboard cross (the Lindsey Jacobellis experience). It looks somewhat similar to a motocross race. Four on the course is exciting, but its very ungainly, especially on skis. There are times where they go up a hill and are close to a dead stop as they arc over the jump. Other jumps are such that they can't take them at full speed, so an Olympic skier snowplows to slow down before the jump. They look like kids at some points.Originally posted by MJZiggy

Usually the host country does very well in the Winter Olympics because they get to train on the various venues more than the visiting countries. Canadians have to be disappointed with what has happened so far.I can't run no more

Switzerland beats Belarus in men's hockey in a shootout following a 10 minute scoreless overtime period. Weird. Would be like deciding a baseball game with a homerun hitting contest. Still, I can understand in a tournament like this needing to avoid a 4 hour hockey game.I can't run no more

It is done that way in the NHL in the regular season, but not in the playoffs. What made this different was that it was an elimination game. Just seemed like an odd way for a team to be eliminated. Still, they probably have no choice. Overtime hockey games sometimes go on for quite a while.I can't run no more
