Steven Hawking says it is stupid to send radio signals out into space with the hope of signaling alien life forms. They are liable to come here, colonize us, occupy all the prime waterfront property, and perform experiments on our gonads.

I never thought about it before, but I think he is right, we should keep it on the down low.
