Fellow Rats :
First of all, I know quite well that this post belongs in the Romper Room, but I beg your indulgence (as a longtime Rat) just this once as an injustice is being done, and I'd like to ask for your help.
My son, Joe, is in a photo contest, where site visitors can vote for the photo collections they like. He's pretty good (I think) - and a real stand-up kid (a Packer person) to boot. He always plays fairly - and it breaks my heart to see him getting jobbed.
He was doing really great in this contest -until today. Someone has -all today - entered a ton of poor votes to bring him down from a 4.8 rating to a 4.4.
I know how this is happening - and I have a pretty good idea who is doing it, and it's just not right.
Anyway, if you would like to help, PLEASE visit the site :
If you like his photos, please give him a '5' STAR rating (stars at bottom of photo).
(By the way, if you check out some of the other artists' contributions, you should also be able to quickly figure out who is trying to 'fix' the contest).
Anyway, I apologize again for posting here amid all things Packer - but I know what kind of folks you are, and think you might just be inclined to get a playing field a little more even.
Thanks!Who Knows? The Shadow knows!

Here's his shot of Wrigley - taken a few days ago :
So I've been wanting to shoot Wrigley Field for a while, but never quite found an angle I liked. For those of you around here, you know that to get a view of Wrigley without cars, traffic lights, buildings, etc - you have to be right up at it's doorstep. So that's exactly what I did last Wednesday night. I shot six vertical shots from left to right to make this. And for each of the six, I shot 5 exposures. Then I made six separate hdrs, and attempted to line them up in photoshop to make a panorama. Since I was so close in on the stadium, I had to manually fix a LOT of stitching problems. That often happens with more ornate things when you are close to them to shoot. So this one was a lot of work that resulted in a 275mb tiff, that after being cropped is 32 inches by 17 inches at 300dpi. But at least I now have a shot of all of Wrigley Field without distractions! Phew. For my official site and inquiries, please visit photography.JosephLekas.com

Great stuff! Can't wait for Lambeau. Hope he does more than just one photo. Love to see him do an image of the statues, for instance. Can he afford a chopper? A great areal would be too cool!!Originally posted by The ShadowHere's his shot of Wrigley - taken a few days ago :

Here is a pretty cool picture before the Dallas game this past year.....notice the jets. I was coming out a door on the elevated walkway at this instant, being "ssshhhhh'ed" by a nice lady usher because of the anthem.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

Ok, boys, due to flack from the contest, it's time to ask you to pull back. As you know, it was my intention to have you view the contest and make your own choices on the worthiness of the work displayed. I certainly can't make anyone's mind up for them, and I didn't try.
Now, apparently there is a bit of a firestorm raging, complete with hurt feelings on the part of some contestants. I am still not sure what the problem is, but out of deference to my son's wishes, I guess I am asking that you consider the contest closed.
Again, it was simply my intention to bring the contest to your attention, ask you to visit the site, and judge the work for yourselves.
Thanks for your participation - I'm glad so many of you enjoyed viewing the fine work.Who Knows? The Shadow knows!
