Computer Drawing Help

For all you computer drawing guru's. I'm looking for some help. My 5 year old started t-ball this year and their team's name in the Flying Tomato's. I'm looking for a logo for them. I found this online, but it looks more like an apple than a tomato. can anyone make a few changes for me? add more of a tomato top instead of an apple stem. and add a cape.

he just looks like he's pissed off and going around thumping people over the head with a bat

It has a nice Japanese quality to it, a bit of a Pokemon vibe.

Perhaps it evolves into a jar of Asiago and roasted garlic spaghetti sauce.

The hue and personality are reminiscent of Strong Bad as well.
