    well, some might argue he was even better then St. Vincent

    John Wooden died today at the age of 99

    IMO there is no one that was more important to his sport then he was to basketball

    I played a little bit of basketball, I was a wrestler but in terms of greatest coaches, I can't make a #1 when it comes to these three

    John Wooden, Dan Gable, and Vince Lombardi.

    John Wooden is everything that is good about sport, and it is a shame that more coaches don't follow his principles when it comes to coaching and recruiting college athletes. Guys like John Calapari are complete jokes and are complete disgraces when compared to Wooden.


    It is the Journey, not the Championships that are important.
