Many consider "Mondo Cane" (A Dog's World) as the first "shockumentary". In a scenario almost as bizarre as the film, the title song "More" was nominated for an Academy Award and became a well-known standard.

In yet another twist, Jacopetti will be buried next to the late British starlet - Belinda Lee - with whom he was involved in the late 50s. She died in a car accident (in which Mr Jacopetti was a passenger) in 1961.
