If the ban was legit, then I've heard no good reason for reversing it and plenty of reasons for not bothering to give the request to reverse it a second thought. Whatever is fine. Just do something and move on.

The is the most valid and most important point. The ban was legit. That means we will have to honor that decision. A re-vote is always welcome but I get the feeling the answer wont change.

Gotta give huge kudos to Mad for even considering this and putting a poll out there to get everybody's views. From a forum standpoint I found him entertaining but he often stirred shit up and more than earned his ban.

I think if I was Mad I would have never even asked for anybody's views since Tank had to be a pain in the ass to try to moderate. Give him and inch and he took 6.

It would have really sucked if you let somebody back in and lose a couple good posters. And if you open the gate to one....then others might follow....and I know there are one or two that I'm much happier seeing away as one got under my nerves a lot and probably contributed to a break I had from the forum.

ok, fine. I really have no interest in tank or his banning, I remember nothing about it. Maybe he deserves to stay banned. This business of having a public debate where people who dislike him demand that he be kept away is distasteful.

Youre right. I should have just deleted the thread he started asking to come back. We voted once, so why could we not vote again?

This is fair, so you'll be pleased to know he was banned for using multiple IP addresses despite a series of warnings to decease from doing so. The fact that he was highly antagonistic and posters were relieved to see his departure has nothing to do with the ban as such. Now the mob is saying the ban should not be revoked, I'll give you that.
