    Anyone else watch these?

If you don't know about these, TED is the Technology Entertainment and Design conference held worldwide. Experts give talks in their respective fields, everything from scientific research and new inventions to political theory to how to wash your hands as efficiently as possible to how to make good bread.

They are short and their are millions of them. When you see a good one post it here.
70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

I absolutely LOVE TED talks! There is one really cool three minute talk that got me to start a novel. I didn't do it like he said, but he did get me started. Will post links next week when I have time.

The three minute talk. The novel isn't far enough along.

          Bobby McFerrin does mind control:

In this fun, 3-min performance from the World Science Festival, musician Bobby McFerrin uses the pentatonic scale to reveal one surprising result of the way our brains are wired.

            Frans de Waal:

What happens when two monkeys are paid unequally? Fairness, reciprocity, empathy, cooperation -- caring about the well-being of others seems like a very human trait. But Frans de Waal shares some surprising videos of behavioral tests, on primates and other mammals, that show how many of these moral traits all of us share.

I wrote a novel in three minutes.

              The Amazon excerpt is:

[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Is there something you've always meant to do, wanted to do, but just ... haven't? Matt Cutts suggests: Try it for 30 days. This short, lighthearted talk offers a neat way to think about setting and achieving goals.

                        Spine tingling:

Throughout human evolution, multiple versions of humans co-existed. Could we be mid-upgrade now? Juan Enriquez sweeps across time and space to bring us to the present moment -- and shows how technology is revealing evidence that suggests rapid evolution may be under way.
