I have a bunch of these in my yard and when they get that fighting over their territory thing going, it is crazy sounding.....and loud.Originally posted by swede View PostTo begin with, here is a video of a barred owl making its usual sounds. Do you hear this once in a while?
If you do, then you have barred owls around and they can make crazy ass insane noises that go "Gwock Gwock Gwock gwock ock ock ock ock ueluluuelululuhOOwaah!"
You can hear something of their crazy talk in this video, but I've heard much crazier.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

you watch too many tv shows.Originally posted by MadtownPacker View PostDid you have a mortician clean him up or you just graze the SOB? The fact he is still in one piece and there is no blood is truly disappointing.
Its not going to blow this thing apart. I have 135, 1oz pellets in the shell. My improved cylinder is going to put the majority of those pellets in a 24-30" diameter circle at the 20-25yrds the shot was taken. Those pellets are not exiting the critter, so you won't get the large exit wound. sometimes its tough to even see an entrance wound. enough pellets busted thru this little bastards tough hide and took out his vital organs. he bled out internally. now had I shot him with a rifle or a deer slug and had the bullet had time to slow down enough to not simply pass right thru (more for the rifle and less for the slug) I am sure it would have given the effect you were hoping for.
I've seen a 7mm mag almost blow the front shoulder of a deer off. on the exit side. on the entrance wound, almost nothing.
what is interesting, is how quick the damn flies found this thing. it was only minutes and they were already swarming.

That 7mm packs a wallop.
Remember that dude who smoked that monster grizz in AK about 10 years ago with a 7mm?

Pictures were real, the back story was BS, i.e.: claiming it was the bear that killed and ate someone else and that it was stalking and hunting dude. Dude was stalking and hunting the bear.Originally posted by Little Whiskey View PostI remember seeing thoes pictures on an email. I thought it was a fake.
