Today Canada, after coming up empty Vs the Powerful Fins got it together and rolled over the Swedes 6-0.
This next game (a semi-final matchup) may be of interest to you hockey fans .
Canada (defeated the USA 5-1 earlier in this competition) plays the USA (defeated the Czech Republic 2-1) in the Quarter Finals of the Gold Medal Section of this Tournament. The loser of this game plays for Bronze.
The winner of Canada Vs USA plays the winner of Finland VS the USSR for GOLD.

Finland polished off Russia (USSR) by a 3-1 score early this morn our time.
At 1 PM EST Canada and the USA square off in the other Semi- Final.
It should be an interesting game. The avg. age of the USA Team...23 years very young.

OK a hard fought win ! Canada managed a squeeker a 4-3 win...Vs ...a very solid USA Team today.
What I saw was promise for the near future and International Hockey and the USA. Your team was very young but very difficult to handel. The USA threw the kitchen sink at Canada scoring three goals in under 8 minutes. The game was exciting throughout.

The Gold Medal game Between Canada and Finland has just started.
Early in this game Canada is taking to play to the Finn's leading in shots on goal 7-0. We want this game !

After the first period of the GOLD Medal game:
Canada leads by a score of 1-0 with Canadian young Superstar Connar McDavid scoring the opening goal. He's played well in this tournament with a bunch of assists but this was his first goal of the tournament. Finally he got 'the Monkey Off His Back'.
Connar McDavid is a sensational young hockey player and in every month this season ( his Rookie year ) he was voted top NHL Rookie when he played the entire month.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

Canada captures gold at WHC for second straight year
