  • Up or Down, Which do you Prefer? Discuss.

Up versus Down has been an ongoing controversy since the dawn of history. What do you guys prefer? Up seems to have a natural advantage, being associated with improvement, goodness, and even heaven. Down is associated with failure and the Devil. But in recent years things have changed. For example, people say "I am Down with that" and that is a good thing. Some people also say "I am fed UP to here with this!" Showing that "UP" is not always good. The movie "UP" was called good, but it was very sad and depressing for older couples. What do you all think? Time to weigh in on this crucial topic.

There was never a group called Down With People.

    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

There is an exercise called "Up-Downs". Does that mean they are downs that are really ups?
Why isn't there a corresponding "Down-Ups" exercise? If I do only "Up-Downs", will I be unbalanced?

                What's up Chuck?

                What's up, Chuck?

See what I did there? With one single comma, I've changed everything.

Never mind. I can't make the "throw-up vs. throw-down" GIF work.
