R.I.P. John Prine

Of all the performers in my music collection, Prine was the one I could always identify with the most. Maybe because we both grew up in the Chicago suburbs. Maybe because he was a mailman before his music career took off. The world is a sadder place. Nobody combined melancholy, humor and humanity better than he did. We've lost him at the worst possible time.

The last song on his past album was titled When I Get To Heaven.
