With Halloween fast approaching, let's compile a thread of favorite movies that freak the spit outta ya! (Props to Woodbuck for the idea)

My first entry will be a somewhat obscure movie and only because it freaked me out when I was a kid. "Day of the Triffids". It's got humanity going blind from a meteor shower, mutant, flesh-eating plants, drama, suspense, Spanish villas.... Yes, it is a pretty dumb movie, but not "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" dumb. It actually tries to be a horror movie.

Another one to throw in the pile, more recent.

"28 Days Later". Fiendishly freaky and disturbing. I loved it.

          COOL Idea tyler:

Hands down for me. This FILM.

First an introduction to it's place in my Life:

I was " so frightened "watching this movie the first time. That I stayed in the theater to view it again. I said to myself... come on "it's ONLY a Movie". Deal with it !

Early conditioning, I realize today, for my " NO FEAR " attitude toword's LIFE.

I can re-call that late afternoon / early evening and originally horrifying experience (I was 11 year's old) as if it was yesterday.

It shocked me in my first viewing, at that impressionable age

          The Movie:

The Horror of Dracula (1958) starring Christopher Lee

THE DUDE with the bad teeth !

WANT TO GO. . . to the Movies with me ??

          TRICK or TREAT

          It's soon HALOWEEN PACKERRATS
          ** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

I have on VHS at home and I don't know if its for sale anywhere else. Would be worth a rental if you can find it. Here's a link to its profile on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055894/. Hope you can find it and give it a viewing!

I did a bit of nerdy researching and discovered that Janina Faye, one of the actresses from "Triffids", is also in Christopher Lee's "Dracula"....

I guess, if it scared the spit out of you. That movie made me laugh the spit out of me, though the scene where that dude got torn apart by zombies is pretty darn graphic for a comedy/horror movie.

                  Great flick! I own it.

Well if getting scared is the criteria, I dont have any. When I was 5 or 6 my older brother and sister used to take me to horror movies. I'm pretty much numb now.
