The movie that scares the living fuck out of me to this day still is the Candy Man. Just something about that movie, I even saw it when I was 16 years old. I won't watch it anymore.

I don't watch a lot of horror flicks because, frankly, they scare the shit out of me.
An oldy, but goody, is the Poltergeist series. Not scary, but a fun movie to watch."I've got one word for you- Dallas, Texas, Super Bowl"- Jermichael Finley

Sweet! If you ever get a chance to check into the Garbage Can, check out the Serial thread. Dr. Herbert West is prominent in part of the story....Originally posted by BadgepackRe-Animator

Are you "a City Boy - Adult? Thinking of loads of houseflys and that movie if I've got it right, and living on or near farms.
Got anything against houseflys, Deputy Nutz? City people go crazy with too many houseflys.

I think I've spent more time rolling my eyes and laughing when watching horror flicks than actually being scared.
However, "the Shining" freaked the hell out of me. I think I was 16 when I saw it for the first time.
Although not exactly a horror movie, "Silence of the Lambs" is my all-time favorite.
Others receiving honorable mentions: The Exorcist, Seven, Rosemary's Baby & I'm with Nutz....The Candyman...you won't find me repeating his name 5 times anytime soon!!

I believe the movie takes place in Chicago and focuses on Cabrini Green. There are no flies, only bees.Originally posted by woodbuck27Deputy Nutz;Originally posted by Deputy NutzThe movie that scares the living fuck out of me to this day still is the Candy Man. "28 Days Later"
The Brits know how to make a good zombie movie.
"Dawn of the Dead" (2004 version)
FAST zombies. Still get nightmares. The first 10 minutes are the creepiest I've seen in a long, LONG time. Also, supposed to take place in Milwaukee.
"Miller Park is no longer a safe zone."
"Aliens"
"In case you haven't been keeping up with current events, we just got our @sses kicked."
"Dracula"
(The BBC version, from 1976? With Louis Jordan as the Count)"What's one more torpedo in a sinking ship?"
Lynn Dickey, 1984
"Never apologize, mister. It's a sign of weakness."
John Wayne, "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon"

Woody, Candyman is about some girl who is investigating this myth of this person referred to as the Candyman. That he appears when you call his name 5 times when you stand in front of the mirror. Well, people tried to warn her of this "myth" but she ignored them and suddenly people started getting murdered. He uses a hook as a weapon as he doesn't have a hand. That has something to do with the bees, but I don't remember exactly. I think that is how he might have been killed originally or something?
Yes, it did take place in the housing project of Cabrini Green. Shooting a movie in that location alone would make a good horror movie.

Maybe these aren't classic horror flicks, but I like classic horror flicks (not just chop-chop movies):
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Thing
The Birds
Night Of The Living Dead
Alien
Halloween
Dressed To Kill"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
