also, here's a couple of good sites if ya wanna tweak your machine and get a couple more percent speed

    The Bottom Line:

fair enough, I couldn't care less. Either way, I am very jealous being stuck on this DSL compared to some of you guys and your T3 home connections

someone was curious as to AT&T's DSL....here ya go. This is on a wireless connection. I'm about 9000' from the CO

I ditched RR 2-1/2 years ago because it was so damn slow at times. Perhaps I'm on a busier node than others, but RR was not the best solution for me. Have had DSL and will never go back to cable. At half the cost and all the premium Yahoo content, what's not to love about it?

Maybe for gaming and stuff you care about having a 10mbps connection, but for my normal web viewing, uploading my webpage and downloading music, my 3MB package works just fine for me.

Can you get naked dsl from them or do you need to get their phone service too? I am looking into getting a complete solution from a company but do not want home phone, just cellular service, cable/satalite tv, internet at an affordable cost.

                Partial, no nakedness from them!

I think DSL would be alot more popular if they offered it that way though. However, that is why they can offer it so cheap, because it's bundled with phone service.

FYI, DSL Pro would cost you $17.99 and a plain jane phone line is $13. Technically, still cheaper than cable. Their 1.5MB package is $12.99, which blows me away when people that CAN get DSL are still on dial-up because "we don't use the internet that much" I am in a bad pocket for cell service, so having a cell phone only, really isn't an option for me. Besides, it's nice not to have telemarketers call your cell phone

CF roadrunner **up to 10Mbps** and they keep getting better. Main reason Ill pay more. It never fails and is fast as all hell.

Looks like I'm getting the most out of my 3meg down. Cable up speed is sad though.
