Anyone know about gambling law??

Is a SuperBowl pool illegal if the winner(s) don't get cash? Say they get a prize instead but still pay an entrance fee?

That sounds more like a raffle almost. Tough one to call. You should probably call the local sheriffs office to find out for sure.

Isnt a raffle a luck of the draw type of thing versus a you pickem deal, which is what makes it "gambling" right?

Its a tough call but you're probably right. Err on the side of caution when it comes to prison time.
